Class 5 Operator

Machinery Movers has an opening for a Class 5 driver.  The work is primarily delivering precast concrete panels and beams throughout the greater Auckland Region using specialised transporters.  We also transport machinery, containers, and some general freight on step and flat deck semi-trailers.  Many of our tasks involve Category 1 or 2 Overdimension loads. The company provides internal and external training as required, and there is the possibility of a career progression into our heavy haulage division for the right person.

Critical requirements:

The right to work in NZ

At least 5 years Semi-trailer driving within the last 10 years

Experience securing loads with chains

Able to manoeuvre large vehicles in congested inner-city traffic

Able to reverse large semi-trailers into very confined spaces on construction sites

Because of the nature of our work we require a very high standard of written and oral English communication skills.

Additional skills that would be an advantage:

Good knowledge of the Auckland City roading network

Good knowledge of the Auckland Overheight Route network

Experience with Overdimension / Overweight loads

BESS Authority

Class 1 or 2 Load Pilot

Experienced HIAB / Palfinger Operator

F Endorsement and current OSH Certificate
